WHEN WE SIN AGAINST OTHERS, we also sin against God. God made man perfect and expects him to live in perfect harmony with his fellow man. Every act of unkindness and unloving word is a sin against God, for it breaks His command to love one another.
Only the person who is sinned against can forgive. So even when others forgive the hurt we do them, we still need God to forgive us, for we have also sinned against Him. Jesus was forgiving a lifetime of sin against God, He could only forgive if He was God and thereby one of the persons who had been sinned against!
Thomas recognised who He was, do you?
SUMMARY: When coming to a conclusion as to who Jesus is, we should consider His claim to forgive sin. This is startling as God alone can forgive sin and read the genuineness of a person’s motives?
