“FINDING OUT ABOUT CHRIST”

FOStd4p15.gif

ONE OF THE MOST DELIGHTFUL THINGS about being a true Christian is the daily enjoyment of God! Christians are often referred to as God’s children in the New Testament. God has promised to look after His children and supply their every need. They no longer fear Him as a judge but love Him as a Father. Reconciliation results in a joyful relationship with God.

God cares for the birds, said Jesus, so He will certainly care for His children. We are assured that the smallest circumstances of our lives are controlled by Him. Every hair, said Jesus, is numbered!

No Christian can be indifferent to what Jesus suffered on the cross for Him. He does not mind being owned by Christ for he knows that Jesus deserves all that he can give Him, and much more. He feels eternally indebted to the One who loved him and so willingly gave Himself for him, and joyfully looks forward to meeting Him in Heaven!

SUMMARY: From the moment a person believes on Christ, he is spared the punishment he deserves. But more than that, he is also reconciled to God.

Not only does God cease to be a believer’s enemy, God has positively become his friend! To have God as your friend, and Father, is no small thing! Believers can enjoy the love and friendship of God now, and benefit from His protection.

Jesus paid a high price to reconcile believers to God. They are no longer their own, they have been bought by Christ’s blood! Christ’s death has opened Heaven to believers of every nationality. Heaven is a holy place and only those who are cleansed in Christ’s blood can enter it.
