THE CLAIMS OF JESUS WERE GREAT, and so were His miracles both in number and kind. We should be deeply moved by the compassionate nature of the majority of them. This is not a self-glorifying “show-off”, who is putting His superiority over other men on public display. Instead, we see Christ’s genuine concern for others at work, while at the same time demonstrating to all that He really was the only Son of the Living God.

There is nothing “Over The Top” about the miracles of Jesus. They are not the bizarre nonsense of fables, such as one might expect from inventive and fraudulent minds intent on leading the simple astray.

SUMMARY: The ministry of Jesus was characterised by a large number of miraculous signs. They were proof of who He was and what He had come to do. They amounted to divine authentication of His message, for they were wrought through Him by His “Father God”.

The signs were not done for that generation of people alone. They were recorded in the Bible for later generations, so that they might believe.

So great are the miracles that they leave us all without excuse if we choose to ignore them. Rather, we should carefully weigh the evidence, like a court of law, and draw our own conclusions.
