“FINDING OUT ABOUT CHRIST”
THERE IS A LETHARGY about some which in the ordinary world spells disaster. To be so laid back that one is unmoved by impending disaster can never be considered a virtue. Such people would be unperturbed even though a foreign army were outside the door!
If we really believe Jesus’ teaching about the Day of Judgement and are concerned for our souls, we shall do something about it! We shall prepare for that day by finding salvation in Christ now, while we have the chance. There are no second chances!
Those who responded to His ministry, Jesus welcomed as His family. That is as true today as it was then. There is a close family bond among Christians today that can exceed family ties. It is a fellowship that resembles Heaven itself, and endures to eternity. Sadly, the fellowship of earthly families will only continue in Heaven if there is repentance and faith in Christ now!

SUMMARY: Our final study is about responding to the Gospel’s offer of salvation. It is about coming, like a jury, to a final verdict about Christ. He cannot be ignored!
Some people “hear” but do not really listen! They have ears, but do not use them as they should. Jesus warned against hearing but not responding. Those who did respond to His teaching Jesus considered to be the members of His family. Those who ignored His teaching were warned of the disaster that awaited them.
One of the most striking parables of Jesus warns us of this disaster. It was about two houses. One was built on earth, the other on rock. Both houses were subject to raging storms and floods, but with very different results. See next page.
